| Bucs Baseball (14U) won the Commando Classic, June 7 - 10 at Drakes Creek Park by defeating the number 1 seed Hendersonville Explosion 8-0 in the championship game. The Bucs had entered into Sunday's elimination round by going 2-0 in pool play defeating the EWA Tribe and Tennessee Braves on Thursday.
In the semi-final game on Sunday, Tanner Moulder had a stellar performance pitching and at the plate in leading to a total team victory in holding off a scrappy number 3 seed Murfreesboro Warriors 7-2.
In the championship game, tournament MVP Tyler Mars threw a complete game 1 hitter by keeping the Explosion batters off balance. Timely hitting with 2 outs by Colby Gordon, Tanner Moulder, Jarod Neal and T.J. Cunningham all produced clutch runs. |
