| Team Worth battled the mud and rain in Athens, Georgia over the weekend at the Southern Force Fall Showcase to return home undefeated on the weekend. The talented Worth squad showcased their talent in front of an impressive roster of collegiate coaches including the University of Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, South Alabama, and others including Belmont and Tennessee State who traveled down to Georgia to attend the games.
Team Worth faced Wicked Fastpitch, Southern Force, Birmingham Vipers, Atlanta Intensity, and Georgia Impact. Even though they allowed more runs than normal because of the wet and slippery conditions, the squad was impressive offensively, outscoring their opponents by a margin of 31-10.
Team Worth will return to action next weekend in a Showcase Exhibition next Sunday afternoon in Rossville, Georgia against the Frost Falcons 18U in front of coaches from the University of Alabama, Mississippi State and others. |
