| Kendall Hooper (Donelson Christian Academy, 2010) had yet another stellar baskeball season as she led DCA to the TSSAA Division II Class A State Semifinals. The Wildcats fell 58-56 to eventual State Champion Harding Academy to finish third.
Hooper, who signed a softball scholarship with OVC power Tennessee Tech last November, has been a varsity starter at guard for the past three years and saw significant floor time as a freshman before that. As the floor general and defensive specialist, she is the motor that drives the Wildcats.
During the first nine games of the season while Kendall was rehabbing from a fall volleyball injury, DCA posted a 4-5 record without her in the line. Upon her return, the Wildcats immediately went on a six game winning streak and won nine of ten and 16-5 on the season with her in the lineup. She capped off the year with a 16 point performance against University School of Jackson in the Sub-State to lead DCA to a 52-45 win and a trip to the Final Four.
Congratulations Kendall and DCA!
